Right on, Laura. Another tactic, besides pastoring yourself, is to praise the Lord. It’s hard when you are tired or being emotionally upset, but praise turns the Enemy on his heel.
Great reminder. This is exact same thing happened to me after the conference.
Laura, this is a great tactic, and I’m trying it today after Easter festivities. What would you suggest when you are in desperate need of that break to regroup, but the break isn’t coming? That’s when I find the enemy hot on my heels…thank you for your input.
Hi Kristen! Thanks so much for your patience! 🙂 I was thinking about what I have done in my own life when I don’t have a moment to regroup. And the most powerful thing I do is call in backup! I have a few solid women in my life who are incredibly wise prayer warriors, so I find a way to connect with them for a moment to pray, work through a stressor or issue, and have them pray over me. They often bring such powerful insight into my situation and their prayer immediately begins to shut down the attack from the enemy. So maybe you have some prayer warrior women that you can call for those emergency situations where they can speak immediate life into you and over the circumstances! I hope this helps you!
